Antonio Ciccone
Antonio Ciccone was born in 1939 in San Giovanni
Rotondo, Italy.

In 1954, with the help of Padre Pio da Pietrelcina, he went to Florence
to study art in the studios of Pietro Annigoni and Nerina Simi and at the
Scuola Libera del Nudo at the Fine Arts Academy.
From 1963 to 1980 he lived between Italy and the United States exhibiting
and taking portrait commissions. He has had more than 100 one-man shows
throughout the United States and Europe and his works are included in both
museums and private collections.
The artist has done extensive fresco work including the Nativity
done in 1987 in Ponte Buggianese, Pistoia.

Cercando Padre Pio, his fifth book, follows
Ciccone lives and works in Florence, Italy, where he maintains his studio
on Via de’ Serragli.
